About
Rocco is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action PhD Fellow at the University of Padua, in collaboration with the University of Cyprus. His MSCA project utilizes quantum computing and tensor networks to simulate quantum electrodynamics (QED) in both (2+1)D and (3+1)D configurations. His research focuses on using tensor networks to create detailed classical simulations of quantum systems to integrate into the QuantumTEA libraries, aiming to improve the accuracy and computation time – a critical step towards developing new quantum technologies. Rocco’s project includes planned secondments at DESY for LQCD simulations and at IBM to adapt simulations for quantum hardware.
