About

Maria is a PhD student in condensed matter theory working in the Quantum group in Padua. Her research is funded by the European Project Pasquans2, which aims to develop atomic platforms for large-scale quantum simulations. She focuses on the study of many-body phases of matter in optical lattices with chiral or topological properties. She is particularly interested in a class of models known as high-order topological insulators, which she investigates with mean-field procedures (single site and cluster Gutzwiller) and innovative computational methods for many body systems.
